Due diligence
The checking an investor does before money moves.
Verifying revenue, speaking to customers, reading contracts, confirming the company is what it says it is. It is not an insult; it is the job.
Diligence is where unverified claims come apart. A founder who can hand over the evidence behind each number turns weeks into days, and that speed is itself a reason investors say yes.
